APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

BOOKING & REFERRAL PROCESS

Our clinic accepts referrals from GP’s (valid for 12 months), or any Specialist (valid for 3 months).

Please email or fax referrals to us, and once triaged, we will be in touch with you to book an appointment for your family.

PLEASE NOTE:  Appointments are available without a referral, (but this will be an out-of-pocket expense), with NO MEDICARE REBATE.

MEDICARE REBATES

Medicare provides varied rebates based on the type of visit, and the duration of time the doctor needs to spend on your child’s care.  This includes examination/assessment, result checking, procedure, documentation and correspondence to other services or to your GP.

With a valid referral from your GP or Specialist, you will be eligible to get the Medicare rebate for the services received.

PLEASE NOTE:  NO MEDICARE REBATE is available if you attend an appointment without a valid referral.

FEES

As we are a privately owned specialist clinic, we DO NOT OFFER BULK-BILLING SERVICES.

Accounts are required to be paid in full on the day of service.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you have an appointment booked that you are no longer able to attend, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible to avoid cancellation fees.  As we have extensive waiting lists, the more notice we receive enables us to offer a much needed appointment to another family.

Cancellation fees will apply when your appointment is cancelled within a minimum of 2 business days notice.

NDIS INFORMATION

The NDIS offers funding for people with a disability (participants), to pay for their Allied Health supports.  Participants have an NDIS Plan, which outlines the goals towards which they are working, and the amount of money that has been allocated, to help them achieve these goals.

At ACCESS Paediatric Clinic, NDIS funding can be used for Occupational Therapy sessions & Social Worker consultations.

PLEASE NOTE: NDIS ACCOUNTS ARE TO BE PAID IN FULL ON THE DAY OF SERVICE  

For Self-Managed participants, (this is when you manage your own NDIS funding) – You can upload your receipt to the NDIS portal for your reimbursement.

For Plan-Managed participants, (this is when a provider supports you to manage the funding in your NDIS plan) – You can email your receipt to your plan provider for your reimbursement.   

For Agency-Managed participants, (this is when NDIS plans are managed directly by an NDIS Agency, and the clinic requests payment directly from the NDIS).  Please note that our clinic is not currently registered to offer this service.
